Orca Vitalis Hi-Vis Men’s Openwater Full Swimming Wetsuit

The Vitalis Hi-Vis Wetsuit is the evolution of Openwater Core Hi-Vis.

The Openwater Vitalis Hi-Vis is specifically designed for swimming and training in open water safely and with maximum visibility, thanks to its orange panels which stand out in contrast to the color of the sea. It also provides the thermal insulation needed to maintain an ideal body temperature without sacrificing movement.

Characteristics

High Visibility: For the utmost safety in the water, the HI-VIS has been designed with a high-visibility orange color that makes it easy for boats, surfers and other swimmers to locate you while you swim in open water.
Elasticity: The highly elastic materials used in this wetsuit will provide you with more flexibility for your swim stroke and allow you to swim without restricting your movements.
Neutral buoyancy: The 2.5 mm Yamamoto 38 material, incorporated in the torso and legs, will provide you with buoyancy in addition to good thermal insulation.

Elasticity, high flexibility and total freedom of movement are brought together thanks to the combination of Yamamoto 38 neoprene, Infinity Skin 2 lining and Smoothskin surface finish. With this combination the open water swimmer will use 30% less force in fast movements and short strokes, while slower and wider movements will require 40% less force than with any other conventional neoprene.

High visibility and total freedom of movement come together with the inclusion of neoprene, Infinity Skin 2 lining and Hi-Vis outer fabric. With this combination, the open water swimmer won’t feel restricted while performing their stroke and the high visibility fabric will also improve safety.
V Fit
Orca women’s wetsuits have patterns specifically designed for the female body, which improve both their performance and comfort. A better fit allows the materials to work within their optimal elasticity ranges.
Buoyancy

The materials used in this wetsuit give it a moderate, or neutral buoyancy level.

The 3 mm thick version of Yamamoto 38 neoprene adds buoyancy so that the swimmer can feel more comfortable and confident swimming in open water. The inner lining combined with this technology allows the suit to fit perfectly to the swimmer’s body.
Thermal insulation

YKK-10 zippers are high-performance and durable features. The sturdiness of these zippers gives them a long service life and they are of such high quality that they prevent water from flowing through the wetsuit while swimming.
USC
Laser cutting in the neck area combined with the Hydrolite inner lining allows the wetsuit to seal to the body and prevents chafing. This combination and seal prevent water from flowing into the suit, providing more thermal insulation to the swimmer.

• Size and Fit Guide

  • Wetsuits should feel snug on and you will probably feel that range of motion is slightly reduced, this is normal. However, make sure breathing doesn’t feel restricted.
  • Wetsuit fit should not be too loose. This would let water flow freely through the suit and would therefore lose all the benefits of the trapped water being warmed by your body.
  • For a correct wetsuit fit, wrists, ankles and neck should be snug.
  • The fit should not be too baggy in the underarm or leg area. Some bagginess at the small of the back is normal.
